Fantastic place to live! Kelley and Evelyn were very helpful during the application process. I’ve been here 6 months and I love the studio. Great location! The rent is a little high but you’re getting what you pay for! Maintenance is always quick to fix things and the pool is beautiful! Doggie bags and outside waste containers. Vallet trash service. Great place to be.

The maintenance staff works very hard to get things done. They have different activities every month For the residents which is entertaining and enjoyable! Great place to live!

If you are looking for a place to call home on the beach you have found a really great location. Claypond Commons Apartments carries a ton of great amenities along with a attentive team to assist you in your relocating goals. Rather you are a young couple looking to start off or a elderly individual looking for a safe community you found the right place. I lived here for several years as a young adult navigating through balancing coursework etc. Not to mention Burcale Rd is filled with great people so it is a tight knit community filled area. If i could give this office 20 stars i would. Great job you guys and thank you for doing such a phenomenal job assisting the residents of Horry County! 🥹💝

I got to meet Kelly and her energy is so amazing. It looks like a lot of exciting changes are happening in the complex. Its located in a low crime area and rent is reasonable. They have alot of activities scheduled for adults so if you are single or new to the area great to meet new people. If I have any criticism keep in mind it's a large apartment complex. You're going to hear your neighbors and I work from home so I really needed a quiet workspace. Although I didn't rent because the condo I was already renting from allowed me to extend my existing stay and it's in a senior citizen, quiet environment, this place would've been my 2nd choice.

Lived here for years and over all a nice place to live. Making improvements to the property =]. If you have a problem, office team will take care of it. Sometime see ducks, geese, swan, turtles and fish at the ponds. ( I have taken a lot of photos at the pond).

I have lived at Claypond for almost 6 years. The office personnel go above and beyond. Maintenance is very efficient. But I have to say, the office manager, Kelly Furr, Has gone way above and beyond to accommodate residents and to make their living experience Even more pleasurable. She’s been very instrumental in making upgrades to the complex And has also put together monthly activities for all the residents from pool parties, bouncy houses, and treat for the kids, to get togethers at local businesses All at no cost to the residents.

Moved in here at end of june. Been an alright place to live, being close to beach and other places like restaurants, etc. they have a dog park for my dog to run around in and fitness center. and they have monthly social get togethers that the Apartment pays for. And yes, roaches are a problem here, but what place isn't? I'll just have to spray myself

In 2006 I Moved from Canton Ohio to Myrtle Beach I have been living at Claypond Commons ever since. My favorite part about Claypond is the Management & Maintenance teams. They show Ethics and that is the most important thing when interacting with others. The grounds are very tropical being a native of Canton Ohio you don’t get that tropicalness. From seeing the Palm Trees to the Pool to the Fountains in the pond. It can be very relaxing. Another great thing about Claypond is location. It’s close to the airport so I can fly back and pick up family from Canton Ohio reasonably cheaply and it’s close to the Beach where you miss the 501 Traffic and also it’s close to Wallmart. Recently they added washers and dryers to every unit. That makes it so much nicer than trying to find the right time to find an open machine. During the NFL & Holiday Season Claypond Commons and most residents get in the NFL & Holiday Spirit and decorate there Patios and Windows. In the words of great Classic TV Sitcoms. Hi Honey. I’m home!

I lived Claypond Commons for 8 years. there was very Peace and good location. surprisingly I never got any air-conditioner issue in 8 years. There are so many a turtles in the pond. I saw some snapping turtles as well. I want to live here again. Office people were nice. Thanks!

I lived here for three years and just moved May 1st. I can't say enough about how accommodating, friendly and helpful I found the staff, especially Jenny and the maintenance team. The location is very convenient to pretty much everywhere in the Myrtle Beach area. I lived there alone as a single woman and always felt extremely safe and had a variety of awesome neighbors. They have a very nice pool and grill area and a lot of their units are now renovated with washer and dryer. Also, it was very QUIET! For an apartment complex I could not believe how quiet it was. Thank you Jenny and the team for everything over the last three years.

She gave me all of the information I needed in order to make this my new home. We toured the amenities as well as two different units showing me the difference in floor plans. She definitely made me feel like I was home already!

Visited the complex for a tour. The office staff were inviting, polite, and approachable. Jenny answered my questions about a lease and the amenities in the area. Shane provided a tour of a studio and 1 bedroom to provide options for rental. I will definitely consider this complex for possible relocation.

I'm a new resident here at claypond and the ladies in the leasing office were very helpful and very friendly throughout the whole leasing process. If you have pets this place is wonderful lots of spaces to walk your dogs and multiple pet waste cans stocked with pet waste bags throughout the property. The pond is a very nice touch with benches to sit at. I would definitely recommend this place.

I moved in here in December from out of state. This has been the best decision I've made. The office staff is wonderful, professional and attentive. I called in one maintenance issue I think it was January and it was handled promptly. They have made improvements all buildings were pressure washed and landscape improvements are coming to my building. I'm thrilled. Great place to live!

I am thinking of moving from Columbia to the beach for more job opportunities, and when I called, Jennifer (I think that's her name) was very comforting on the phone. She explained everything to me over the phone about the apartment, community, and surrounding areas--including the shortcut to the beach to avoid traffic! She went through the prices for the studio and 1 bedroom and broke everything down. She even knew what the avg. light bills and internet bills would be--you can't find that hardly anywhere. I already feel at home, and I haven't even been there to see the complex. I'm looking forward to coming down there in the next few months and meeting Jennifer. I can tell you from calling other places, this person really knows her stuff, and will make you feel like you're part of the community without you even being there. I highly recommend checking out Claypond Commons.

Moved here from NH about 5 months ago. Prior to moving, I called and spoke with Jane who was very friendly and able to answer all of my questions. Once we got to SC, we didn't have to wait, we were shown the apartment which was in great condition with new carpeting. We had a small issue with our water heater one day, I called Jane while I was at work, and her and Mike the maintenance man, had it resolved before we even got home that day! We had a positive experience living here, all of the neighbors have been friendly, the staff are helpful, the grounds are kept clean and the pool in the summer is an added bonus! -Wendy & Kendall

I love this place. And I’m super grateful for Jane Elmore and the team of people sue works with. I moved here from Los Angeles, California and Ms. Elmore gave such an incredible experience over the phone that I was sure and determined this was my home and I had not even seen the apartment in person. I’ve since lived at Claypond Commons for almost six months and although I’ve seen lots of managers go during this period, Jane has been a constant and my place is perfect. My boyfriend and I just moved to Myrtle Beach a little over a month ago. So far I really enjoy these apartments. We have a two bedroom two bath on the third story. Everything was very clean from the moment we got there. The staff there are very friendly as well, if you have any problems they do their best to solve them for you. My only complaint would be the kitchen appliances are a bit outdated and there aren't many cabinets in there as well. I was very upset by the tile flooring in the kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room when we first got there. They really grossed me out by the coloring and chips in them. But I talked to management there and in the next couple days someone was there and tore that tile out and replaced it with a beautiful wood-like flooring. I would recommend Claypond for anyone really. Decent price, and great staff. I've seen other reviews about how they have bug problems, but I haven't really noticed anything since I've been there. I'd just say as long as you keep your apartment clean you shouldn't have any problems.

tl;dr - 3.5 - 4 stars, I like it, the staff is GREAT, good fit for dog owners, older buildings with wet grounds :( Current Resident here. I like living at Claypond Commons, the staff is absolutely fantastic, they handle resident support well and they LOVE DOGS! If you're a dog owner this is a great place to rent based on price and location. Positives - Location, Price, Easy access to Myrtle Beach Mall and Tanger Outlets, Centralized location along the Grand Strand, Pool, Laundry Room, Free Doggy Bags Negatives - the buildings aren't brand new, so sometimes there are issues with moisture depending on your location in the apartments. The grounds are typically muddy after raining (they don't drain well). Some residents don't pick up after their dogs, but there are active campaigns to combat this.
